ski area Velká Úpa
A smaller ski area with a big elevation difference. In Velká Úpa visitors can enjoy the slopes without queues even during the top season. Right next to the bottom station of the chairlift Portášky is located children's LIVE park with a magic carpet for the clients of ski school SkiResort Live. Children's slope Sagasserky can be found on Portášky, at the top station of the ski lift.
In Velká Úpa, in the bottom station of chairlift Portášky is located the office of the ski school, ski rental, test centre and excellent ski service SkiResort Live.
Useful tips:
- The most beautiful vistas in the Giant Mts. are from ski slope Portášky.
- Pec pod Sněžkou and Velká Úpa are connected via ski buses line 2, 1. Switching areas takes only a couple minutes.
- Night skiing on ski slope Modřín in Velká Úpa starts in selected days at 6:00 p.m.
- A single ski pass of SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA – PEC is valid in Velká Úpa. However, you can use area ski pass which is cheaper, valid only in Velká Úpa.
