45 km of slopes, a sledge run, and plenty of adventures for the weekend

On Friday, there is a chance of light snowfall in the Krkonoše Mountains. This means fresh powder for skiing over the weekend, making conditions perfect. At SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA - PEC, more than 45 km of slopes are currently open, with up to 120 cm of snow. Additionally, about 80 km of cross-country trails on the ridges are groomed.

On Friday and Saturday, we recommend trying night skiing, either on Protěž at Černá hora or on Javor in Pec pod Sněžkou, where the band Vladimír will perform live at Bullbar on Friday evening. The SkiResort Live rental in Pec is open until 9 PM.

Both evenings, you can also enjoy sledding under the lights and on the moving carpet at Javor. On Friday, we’re adding an animation program, sledding competitions, and games with our mascot Obřík. Don’t worry if you don’t have your own sled—we’ll lend you one for free. Join us for fun for kids and adults alike from 5 PM to 7 PM.

On both Friday and Saturday, you can also try evening sledding on the Černohorská sledge run. Reservations must be made online in advance. You’ll head onto the trail with guides from SkiResort Live and headlamps.

A special event is planned for Sunday evening on the sledge run: a magical nighttime descent with Obřík. Expect a fun ride where sledders will encounter spooky creatures and fairytale characters along the way. Meet at 5 PM in Jánské Lázně near the gondola lift station.

The Černohorská sledge run is also open during the day from 9 AM to 4 PM. Access is free, and sleds can be rented directly at the lower station of the gondola lift.

For families with children, we recommend heading to Černý Důl for the weekend. There’s free parking right next to the slopes, a large children’s LIVE park, and wide slopes with chairlifts.

Another great tip is skiing in Velká Úpa, where all slopes are open, there are no queues, and the Portášky lift offers stunning views.

If you’d like to visit two resorts in one day, we suggest starting your ski day at Černá hora and then taking the SkiTour snowcat ride to Pec pod Sněžkou, where most of the slopes are open, along with a fun Funline course with banked turns, terrain waves, and a tunnel. There’s also a ski cross track and a timed giant slalom course.

End your day in the eastern Krkonoše by visiting the bobsleigh track at Relaxpark. After dark, it lights up with a thousand lights, transforming into a Magical Ride.
