In the morning you can go skiing in ski area Černá hora and then move to Pec pod Sněžkou on skis and by snowcats SkiTour. In just one day you can enjoy more than 30 km of slopes, a ride in a specialised snowcat and beautiful vistas of Sněžka. You can return from Pec pod Sněžkou using a regular ski buses (Nr 1.).

SkiTour operation time

SkiTour snowcats run from 21 Dec. 2024 till 16 Mar. 2025, in case of good snow conditions. Operation between 9.00 a.m. - 3.30 p.m. (departure intervals ca 15 minutes). Snowcat ride is free with a valid ski pass. Individual rides – 50 CZK.

How does SkiTour work?

From Janské Lázně to Pec pod Sněžkou in 25 minutes. How does it work? Take a cable car up to Černá hora (8 minutes). The first snowcat is waiting for you at the top station of the cable car on Černá hora and it will take you 600 m further. Next you ski 2 km downhill to the spot „Pod Kolínskou boudou“, where a second snowcat will be waiting to take you to Pražská bouda (another 900 m). Ski slope Mulda (15b) in Pec pod Sněžkou starts below Pražská bouda.

You can return to Janské Lázně via either regular ski bus (red line). In Pec pod Sněžkou the ski bus departs from the bus stop next to the bottom station of ski lift Javor.

How to switch ski areas on a daily basis?

On skis and by snowcats: from Černá hora (Janské Lázně) to Pec pod Sněžkou - in 25 minutes

You will travel partly on skis and partly by two specialised snowcats. The first snowcat operates on the top of Černá hora helping overcome a 300 m long flat area. The second snowcat will be waiting for you at the spot "Pod Kolínskou boudou" where it will take you up a small hill to Pražská bouda, located above ski area Pec pod Sněžkou. Skiers will get off the snowcat at the top of ski slope Mulda (15b) in Pec pod Sněžkou.

To Janské Lázně from Pec pod Sněžkou by ski bus line no. 1

On days when the SkiTour snow groomers are in operation, you can use ski bus line no. 1 for the trip from Pec pod Sněžkou back to Janské Lázně. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.

From Černý Důl, via Černá hora to Pec by ski bus (blue line) and by snowcats SkiTour and back

From Černý Důl to ski area Černá hora take a ski bus (blue line). It stops at the chairlift Hofmanky Express. During hours when snowcats SkiTour are in operation, you can extend your skiing activities to Pec pod Sněžkou. Just get on the first snowcat SkiTour at the top station of the cable car on Černá hora. Next transfer to Pec pod Sněžkou on skis and by snowcat. You can spend your time skiing in Pec. Return to Černý Důl by line No. 1 (from Pec to Janské Lázně) and then by line No. 4 (from Janské Lázně to Černý Důl).
