What to wear?

Proper clothing for winter trips in the mountains, including a breathable layer for climbing and warmer clothes for downhill (e.g. down/puffer jacket, warm hat and gloves). A water proof jacket in your backpack might come in handy. You will find several places to refresh yourself on the trails. In other cases we recommend packing a snack and a bottle of water.

Tips for trips in Pec pod Sněžkou

To Liška mountain and back

Meeting at ski rental SkiResort Live on Javor in Pec pod Sněžkou. We will climb up past cottage Severka, then up the hillside of Liščí hora to cottage Na Rozcestí. We will reach the summit of Liščí hora. Ski descent past Lyžařská bouda to ski slope Zahrádky and back to Javor.

What to expect:

Picturesque landscape around cottage Severka, bistro at cottage Na Rozcestí and vistas of Studniční hora and Sněžka.

Duration: 3 - 6 hours

Via Modrý Důl to the top of Giant Mts.

Meeting at ski rental SkiResort Live on Javor in Pec pod Sněžkou. We will climb up past cottage Milíř to Modrý důl. We will continue ascending the hillside of Studniční hora to cottage Výrovka. Finally, we will reach the Mountain Memorial on Studniční hora, followed by ski descent back to Pec pod Sněžkou.

What to expect:

Unique atmosphere of Modrý důl. Bistro at cottage Výrovka. Vistas of Krkonoše (Giant Mts.) and more.

From Pec pod Sněžkou to Sněžka

Meeting at ski rental SkiResort Live on Javor in Pec pod Sněžkou. We will walk through Obří důl, climb up to the pass below Obří bouda and reach the summit of Sněžka. Next we will descend to the top station of the cable car on Růžová hora. Ski descent to the bottom station of the cable car and getting back to Pec pod Sněžkou.

What to expect:

Beautiful landscape of Obří důl, reaching the summit of the tallest Czech mountain. Impressive vistas of the whole mountain range. One of the few legal off piste runs.

Tips for trips from Janské Lázně

To Černá hora

Meeting at ski rental SkiResort Live in the building of the bottom station of the cable car in Janské Lázně. We will go up to Zrcadlové boudy and ascend the foothills of Černá hora until we reach former Sokolská bouda. Ski descent on the ski slope back to Janské Lázně.

What to expect:

Cardio ascent and beautiful vistas from the top of Černá hora. Bistro at the top station of the cable car. Safe downhill skiing on well-groomed slopes.

Night ascent to Černá hora

Meeting at ski rental SkiResort Live in the building of the bottom station of the cable car in Janské Lázně at 5 p.m. We will ascend the mountain with headlamps. The bistro is open at the top. Ski descent back to Janské Lázně.

What to expect:

Night adventure, a bit of adrenaline while skiing with headlamps.
