Cross-country trails

Cross-country skiing trails at the top of the Giant Mts. are regularly groomed. The most popular trails can be found on Černá hora and Světlá hora. Groomed trails, however, can be found also in the vicinity of Pec pod Sněžkou, Velká Úpa, Černý Důl, Malá Úpa and Svoboda nad Úpou.

We regularly maintain the cross-country ski trails. In case it's windy on the ridges or fresh snowfall occurs, it takes a while for the grooming machines to prepare all 101 km of tracks.

SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA - PEC allocates approximately 3 million Czech crowns for cross-country ski trail maintenance every year. Only about a tenth of the expenses is covered by the subsidy from the Krkonoše Municipalities Association.

You can choose from carbon skis for skate skiing and modern skis to classic skiing fitted with Skintec technology, which do not need wax and are maintenance-free.
